Huskies Display Unending Ef ort This year's soccer team had a very exciting season, although their record of 2- 18-1 may not show it. Coach jasinski stated Having four state-ranked teams in our conference made our schedule a tough one, but the Huskies never gave up. Many of the games went down to the wire, two of which went into overtime, and were lost by only one goal. For the second year in a row, the Huskies won a post-season game by beating Loyola in the first round of their state playoff games. They scored on two penalty kicks by Bob Tsitsos and a goal by Rey- han Kadiroff to beat the Ramblers by a score of 3-0. The Huskies ended their season by losing an exciting and hard fought game to 2nd ranked Glenbrook North in the second round of the state playoffs. The team had several talented players. Two of them, Felix Bachmeier and joe Cappucitti, were named All-Conference players. According to Coach jasinski, all the guys were hardworking and had the best record of attendance at their practices in all the years that he's been coaching soccer at Hersey. by Tony Frankiewicz john Griffin uses quick footwork to keep the ball away from his opponent.
