'81 Grads each Out For The Future On Monday, june 8, 7981, four hundred and twenty-five students proudly received their diplo- mas during the 12th annual commencement at john Hersey High School. The ceremony began as the students anxiously walked down the aisle to the tra- ditional playing of Pomp and Circumstancef' The invocation was then read by Lisa Korbas. The senior class president, Kelly Werth, gave her last statement to the class of '87, while Richard Bach- huber and Harold Best, both from the Board of Edu- cation, presented the diplomas. Cheers of joy as well as sorrow filled the air as students pondered on their post years at Hersey High School. by Kelli Shoub Students anxiously await their big moment.
