Gary Pratt gets ready for another round. Tim Coughlin shoots another perfect score Trap And Skeet Shoots To High Honors The 7987-82 Trap and Skeet Team shot to high honors this season. The team consisted of 9 mem- bers. Their outstanding shooters were Gary Pratt, Tim Clughlin, and Greg Lindskoog who brought the team to national honors. The high score of the sea- son was 7587, which was scored at nationals. Trap and Skeets season began in October and ended in February. They shot 2 to 3 times a week at both Northbrook and Maywood Sportsman Clubs. The team was coached by Mr. Hangey, Mr. Titre, and assisted by Mr. K una. Mr. Hangey was real proud of his shooters, and he would like to see some girls go out for the sport. by jim Geallis Trap and Skeet Team. English Fine Arts Department ls In Tune With The Tim es The EnglishfFine Arts Department is a very orga- nized portion of Hersey's academic program, The department is composed of nineteen teachers. They try their best to successfully educate all of the stu- dents who are enrolled in the many different courses offered. To make this year's classes more interesting and worth wile, new textbooks ha ve been added and materials have been updated. The E.F.A. Department is involved in many differ- ent events and activities. One of these events is the Arts Unlimited program, which was held from April 27 to May 19, 7982. The Debate and Individual Events speech teams are also sponsored by the E.F.A. Department. Many publications are put out by the EnglishfFine Arts Department. The yearbook, with advisor Mr. K ozanecki, and the Correspondent, with advisor Mr. McDonnell are-products of the E.F.A. Department. The Art-Literature magazine, which is in the final pages of the yearbook, is also produced by this de- partment. There are many people, teachers as well as stu- dents, who work together to make all of these activi- ties run smoothly. Without the EnglishfFine Arts De- partment, Hersey's academic success would defina- tely be lacking. by Nancy Barfield my mum Howie Brown gets a closer look at the action.
