0liver!, a most spectacular presentation, was put on in the Little Theatre on Feburary 10, 12, 13 and 14, 1981, at 8:00 p.m. The sensati'onal cast was composed of over sixty-three members, a third of whom were younger than high school age. Oli ver! is the story of a young boy who lives in an 1850 British workhouse. After sassing back to the headmaster, Mr. Bumble lDave Brownl, Oli- ver fseven th grader Peter Cellal is sold to a pair of funeral directors, Mr. and Mrs. Sowerberry Uohn Teichman and Julie Wintersl. Despising his new home, Oliver runs away and quickly meets up with the sly Artful Dodger lLou Cellal who introduces him to Fagin lBryant Harnerl and his theives. Oliver is taught to steal and through his association with the criminal, Fagin, meets the unmerciful Bill Sikes I Tony Kempl and Bill 's faithful girlfriend Nancy lLiz Bart- lowl. Mr. EIC Moon took care of the technical crew and Mrs. Joan Howdle did a su- perb job with costumes, makeup and publicity, as was seen by the authenticity of the casts appar- el. Mr. Mchael Hetzel conducted the Pit Band which consisted of twenty-two members. ' Influential students who aided in the produc- tion were: Sophomore Stephanie Uhl, Assistant to the Director and Senior Corey Gogola who was the Stage Manager.
