Herse Students 11j0 Spring Activities The Spring of 1980 was Hlled with exciting even ts and enthusiastic athletic teams. Many students participated in extracurricular ao- tivities held in the spring. Some of these included archery, badminton, baseball, gymnastics, softball, tennis, and track. The spring play, Prom, and Graduation were all well worth the Wait as the year was coming to an end. Golfers Tee- To Success. The H uskie golfers had an exciting season this year that resulted in a record of 8 wins and 7 losses. Each team member contributed their best effort, but some of the players did exceptionally Well. The District Championship was won by Dan Kochevar with an impressive score of 74, and Mike Passaglia took sec- ond With a score of 75. The overall team average for this year was 162. The outstanding golfer this year Was Senior Dan Kochevar who went downstate to represent Hersey. John Wascoe was voted the Most Improved Player for this year with a 42.4 average. There was a special award given this year and it went to Senior Tom Stoltz for breaking the most clubs.
