In the middle of the season they were 5-0 in the North Divi- sion. They were contenders for Hrst place until the last game Where they lost to Buffalo Grove. It was a very strong team. First baseman Karla Schrader and shortstop Cathy Crews were both named All-Conference. The teams standingat the end of the season was fourth in the North Division. The junior varsity team Hnished with a record of 7-7 According to Coach Sullivan, Softball is a big thing at Herseyg all the kids really get up for it. They al- ways practice as long as they can and work hard at it.
