Gymnasts Voted W II- me1'ican,'! National High School All-American is one of the highest honors a team can receive, and this title was given to the Hersey Boys' Gymnastics Team for their outstanding 1980 season. Individual title winners were sophomore Greg Teets, junior Ken Von Ebers, senior Craig Rothermal, and Scott Davis, Who was also voted Most Valuable Gymnast. These gymnasts led the team to titles of North Divi- sion Conference Champions, District Champions, Sec- tional Champions, and a fourth place slot in the state meet. Besides having a 10-3 record, the team placed fourth in the Arlington Invitational, third in the York Invitational, and second in the Maine East Invita- tional. Two individual state title winners Were Greg Teets and Craig Rothermel. Teets qualified in Hnals for all events and all-around. He placed 10th on p-bars, ninth on floor, and sixth in all-around.
