Comprising the staff are twen- ty-five members, five of whom are editors. Some of these students come from Journalism classes, but the majority of them are students who are willing to work hard. Many of these are interested in training for future journalistic endeavors. Most staff members are upperclassmen although there are a few sophomores and freshmen. Short of actual printing, the staff is solely responsi- ble for putting out the paper. They not only do the reporting, the typesetting, the want-ads, and adver- tisements, but also the layouts. The only outside help they receive is in the printing which is done by Ray and Sons of Mt. Prospect. According to Mr. McDonell, the paper is not fun, but a great deal of hard Work! The Correspondent staff has the longest running season, beginning in early August and continuing un til June. For eight solid months, the staff works hard conducting interviews, typing up stories, drawing layouts, meeting dead- lines, and filling quotas. Matt Biegert, Editor-In- Chiefj tells of working on Sundays to perfect every aspect of their work. This year the newspaper has published many con- troversial editorials which have kept everyone in ter- ested and anticipating each new issue! by Karen Lange Lisa Cowles and Colleen Kelly get a story!
