on cert Ch oir S tri Ves for erfecti on This year's Concert Choir, under the direction of Mr. Turasky, was very successful. They Worked Well together and achieved many things. The choir opened the year with a concert which was held in the Little Theater. In December at the Christmas concert, the traditional Hallelujah Cho- rus was performed by all choirs, alumni, family members and faculty with the Syphonic Winds ac- companying them. As in the past years, the choir participated in the District 214 Choral Festival. It was held at Wheeling and Handel's 'Messiah was performed. The most unique quality of this year's group was their sense of unity and dedication. They never stopped. Working together to reach their highest goals. by Sue Dietzen Everyone gets involved in the Hallelujah Chorus 52 g ' , Concentration is the key to success. The Concert Choir performs at the Christmas Concert. Mr. Turasky directs the choir with ease. Mr. Turasky teaches the technical part of the music.

11 Stagev Works To ether o Succeed T' On Stage is a select group of 25 singers and 6' QU Stage hjfs 3 Striking pose. accompanists. They are under the direction of Mr. Turasky. In addition to daily rehearsals, participation in On Stage requires many hours of individual practice. The hours of extra practice paid off in February when On Stage was rated superior and Best of Class at the Oak Lawn Jazz Festival. Later in the year they continued to travel to contests. They attended a com- petition in Watseka, Illinois and a prestigious show choir competition in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Besides performing for Hersey audiences, On Stage performed for various organizations around the community. They toured the junior highs and sang for many senior citizen groups. Throughout the year, On Stage con tinued to give spectacular performances. They thrilled audiences and put smiles on many faces. U by Sue Dietzen Tenors do their part in Fruitcake .
