CCDHIDGS At Sea Sails To Success Before Capacity Audiences The John Hersey High School Theatre presented the musical, Dames at Sea on March 6,7,8 and 9. The pro- duction lyrics were by George Haimsohn and Robin Miller and its music was written by Jim Wise. The production proved to be a great success as there were capacity audiences on the first three nights. All of the performances received a well deserved standing ovation. Credit should also be given to the production crew for doing a great job with the scenery. The main roles included Mona Kent, an established conceited actress, Ruby, a stage struck starlet from Iowa who longed for her big chance on Broadway, and Dick, a sailor whose ambition was to become a famous composer. After a series of mishaps, all turns out well, as do all light- hearted musicals. Laura Paa and Elaine Turner were double cast as Mona Kent. Diane Buteau and Scott Rothermel were outstand- ing as Ruby and Dick. Other cast members included Bill Hellyer as Lucky, Nancy Wildberger as Joan, Mark Ho- rowitz as Hennessey, and double cast as Captain Coura- geous were Cameron Pfiffner and Mark Granquist. The play was directed by Mr. Jerry Lowe. Set construc- tion was guided by Mr. Robert Berry.
