Swimmers Splash To 12-2 Record - Finish Second In Conference Despite the continued absence of a home pool, the Huskie swimmers were able to splash their way to 12 wins and 2 losses in regular season competition. They scored 198 points to win second place in the conference and scored 162 points to land a third place in district competition. The Hersey swim team is unique in that it has three All- American divers. These All-Americans are Bill Cashmore, Jeff Speakman, and Tim Brennan. Chris Tague also did a fantastic job for the Huskies as he achieved state and na- tional ranking in the 200 and 500 free style. Bill Cashmore and Jeff Speakman were first and second place diving champs in conference and district competition. Every varsity swim record was broken this year except the 50 free style. The overall history of swimming at Her- sey is something of which we can all be proud.
