Gymnasts Win Third Place At State Meet Our Hersey gymnasts completed another great season by finishing third in the annual state meet at Prospect High School. The Huskies also kept up their domination of the Mid-Suburban League by winning the M.S.L. Confer- ence Championship for the fifth time in six years. This year, after winning the conference championship, our Huskies moved on to capture the District and Sectional Championships l After a tough sectional meet there were eight gymnasts left, filling twelve positions in the preliminaries at Pros- pect. Qualifying for the finals on Saturday night were Brian Covelli, Mike Kropp, Kevin Muenz, and Keith Oehl- sen. Also contributing to the team points during the Week- end Were Vince Corrado, Gregg Manning, Dan Muenz, and Jeff Salcedo. Congratulations are in order for a super gymnastics coaching staff and for each and every gymnast who did his best to spread Hersey gymnastics fame throughout the state of Illinois. by Pam Yaroch The team displays their third place trophy after the state finals.
