Summer Musical Oklahoma Rodgers and Hammerstein's delightful musical, Okla- homa, was presented on August 1,2,3, and 4 by the joint efforts of students from Hersey and Buffalo Grove High Schools. The musical, starring Mike Ellis as Curly and Diane Gabbei as Laurey, took its setting in the Indian ter- ritory, which is now known as Oklahoma. The time-setting set the play at the turn of the century. The co-star- ring role of Ado Annie was brilliantly portrayed by Diane Buteau and Nancy Weinberg, two of Hersey's outstanding actresses. These efforts, combined with those of other cast members, crew, and musical accompaniment, proved the play to be one of the finest ever staged in our school district.
