Row 3: Dennis Gillespie, Rick Adornetto, Stavros Maltezos, Ken Morales, Randy Buttstadt, Dean Goins. Boys' eaders Aid Teachers, Students Junior and senior boys are all eligible to participate in the P.E. Leaders' Program at Hersey. This program involves activities outside the regular physical education schedule, including assisting the gym teachers and acting as referees for the various sports. During both the junior and senior years, BOYS' JUNIOR LEADERS. Front Row: Mike Tufo, Don Robinson, Robert Wilke, Randy Reames, Tom Noll, Frank Cirrincione, John Clarke, Don Gould, Robert Pettigrew. Row 2: Pat Madden, Brad Smith, Richard Guenther, Jeff Stasik, Tad DeLuca, Frank Czarnecki, the boys are taught individual responsibility and sportsmanship, along with learning the regulations of the games. In its three years existence at Hersey, the program has proven to be very helpful to the P.E. teachers, as well as making gym more enjoyable for the leaders. Row 2: Marsha Schnirring, Kim Zaehler, Margaret Langley, Jean irls' Leaders Teach, Some 45 girls with an outstanding interest in physical education participated in this year's Junior and Senior Leaders' Program. As Junior Leaders the girls were taught the rules and techniques of physical education as a class. Then as Senior Leaders they were given individual responsibilities such as taking GIRLS' JUNIOR LEADERS. Front Row: Debbie Guy, Mary Ann Lobes, Kathy Durham, Pat Hickey, Lisa Heitkotter. Row 3: Sue Gehrmg Sheila May, Diane Germaine, Ann Langley, Sandy Holland. Participate in Classes care of equipment, leading exercises and officiating games. Both years of gym put an emphasis on the appreciation of athletics, the value of exer- cise and a sense of fair play.
