Endeavor Incorporates Summer Supplement Working within the confines of their budget and office tucked away in the English wing, members of the Endeavor staff spent long hours of the night mulling through thousands of photographs and pages of deft prose in order to attempt to present as accurate a picture-prose representation of Hersey as was possible. Beginning their planning in the spring of 1970, staff members allotted pages and space for the 1971 Endeavor as they saw necessary and incorporated the idea into their plans of publishing a summer supplement which would be mailed to students during the summer vacation. It was decided that this approach would give students a volume which included ac- tivities and events from the entire 1970-71 school year rather than spring to spring which had been used in the past. Correspondent Keeps Continuing in the winning tradition of Hersey, the Correspondent started off the year with the announcement of its fourth All-American rating. This award, presented by the National Scholastic Press, is based on coverage, editing, physical appearance and photography. The emphasis in reporting this year has been upon reaching the student with the lighter side, as well as the facts. A new feature, Write On , has evidenced this. All-American Rating Heading up the staff was Editor John Sienicki. Jon Daniel held the position of News Editor, with Marcia Moody, Brian Zim- mer, and Babs Cox the respective Feature, Sports, and Copy editors. Sponsorship of the Correspondent changed hands at the semester when Mr. Richard Nelson left to teach at N.I.U. Mr. Robert Wilferd then took on the new task of advisor. NEWSPAPER STAFF.
