Student Council Faces Problem Solving Year Faced with the ever constant problem of student unrest at the way things were be- ing run, the Student Council under President Roger Obst attempted to satisfy, through diplomatic channels, the desires of the stu- dents Whom they represented. Through weekly Council meetings and more frequent meetings of the Executive Board, the Council listened to suggestions of groups and students and tried to solve or follow through on appropriate action. This often involved petitioning the ad- ministration to make changes in school policy. Most suggestions requested were effected and resulted in greater student freedom and recognition of one's individuality.
