Varsity Nets 8-35 Frosh-Sophs 7-4 Hersey's Varsity netmen got off to a resounding start by smashing their first four opponents Lake Park, Conant, Fremd and Wheeling all by 4-1 scores. In their next three outings, however, the Huskies ran into trouble and lost two out of three. Bouncing back, the Huskies beat Palatine, Glenbard North and Viator's before losing the season finale to Arlington. The frosh-sophs started their season by knocking off their first four opponents. After being set back in their next three meets, the frosh-sophs netmen rallied to beat their next three dual meet opponents before dropping their last meet to the Cards from Arlington. Varsity Golfers 9-35 Frosh-Sophs 9-2-1 Hersey's varsity linkmen had a very re- spectable season with an overall record of 9-3 with a conference record of 6-3. The varsity won seven of its first eight meets before losing its second of the season to Forest View. In the conference meet, the Huskies took fourth place and Rick Fossel- man took individual fifth place honors. After the conference meet the Huskies won two of their last three. The Frosh-Sophs won six of their first seven before tying Elk Grove, 177 all. They won three of their last four meets for a 9-2-1 tally. 26 Rich Fosselman bears down on ball on way to green.
