S.S. Language Div. dapts Curriculum This year the social studies department of the Social Studies-Foreign Language Division adapted to the growing needs and interests of Hersey students by introducing new courses in black history, psychology, and military history. These courses together with the al- ready wide ranging course offerings enabled students to select from an even wider scope of specific subject areas. Typical of the excellence of the department were the many additional guest speakers and panel discussions which were incorporated into the course contents. The foreign language department of the division continued to offer courses in French, Spanish, German and Russian. Clerical Staff Aids Students-Faculty Wading through the Hurculean tasks that confronted them daily in assisting students and teachers alike, the clerical staff at Her- sey continued to rise above all obstacles and kept Hersey humming throughout the school year.
