A short program was presented after which each of the re- orults was inquired to perform special tasks to determine whether they were eaa-worthy. All members passed this test and were now classed as crew mem- bers of the Showboat.

After a brief period of boot train- ing the rest of the crew honored them with an initiation party. They now felt like old salts . Offioers eleoted were: Bernadine Hilt, President; Gloria Bollinger, Vice-Presi- dent and Student Council member; Gordon Klaudt, Secretary and Treasurer. Betty Beck and Oren Berndt were chos- en as Queen and Escort candidates. Clarence Rueb is the only recruit who has discontinued service at the end of the first year. U

It is the night for fun, laughter and gaiety. Sinoe 1938 with a net receipt of ♦58.38 this activity continued to grow. The peak was reached in 19 with a net receipt of 1103.88.
