In widespread localities we find the mem- bers of the class of '55, Hop aboard and we'll take a closer look. Here in the hustle and bustle of Atlanta I see the shingle of that world renowned physician and surgeon, Dr. Gail Bennett. She 's made quite a name for herself and has won the Nobel Prize in medicine. We always.knew she'd make good. Big Jim Allen has just signed a new contract to coach the University of Florida football team. The salary is tremendous. Annette's time is taken up with her piano concerts and ta king care of the three little Allens. The Pentagon is really buzzing with excitement these days. Our own Gay Burdin has been appoint- ed to clean up Washington, D. C. The government decided it was a job for the WAC's and she was just the one who could do it. ' If you pass through Honduras ygl Bmmhl He's the newly elected President of the Republic Speaking of Honduras it might interest ou o ow that the largest banana plantation in the world is there and it is run by the financial tycoon Jim Weatherford Back in our old native Brooksville we f1 ey oops pardon me I mean Margaret Clayton Margaret has her hands full taking care of little Margy and Jerry while big Jerry runs his under ta king business Traveling across the United States to San Diego we find Robert Durko who is now a chief petty of ficer in the Navy He ll be sailing to Istanbul in a few days If we take a fast boat to Japan we can see our old school chum, Sherra Mashburn She is now teach ing theology at the University of Tokyo The Yankees have Just bought Kent Looper from the Phillies He s the hottest thing in baseball since Di aggio Thomas Martin is one of the 55 grads who stayed in Brooksville He has a big farm about five miles out of town and is very contented There s a new secretarial agency in town and it s run by Mary Sikes Mary always did want to be in the business world Speaking of business Eugene Peterson has just taken over a new Public market here Brooksville has really grown since we graduated from H H S trying her hand at coaching a new girl s basketball team the Globettes Fis is doing a swell Job and will take her girls to the Olympics next year If you re ever out Hollywood way you might stop in at the Copa Cabana to hear Jim Colson s orches tra He s playing an extended engagement there and his band is the number one dance band in the United States Shirley Langworthy finally settled down and is quite content being a housewife in New Port Richey The old romeo of the Class of 1955 Harry Lambert is still quite a ladies man He has a swank nightclub in Miami and, believe it or not he is still a bachelor Back in good ole H H S we find Lois McCall .who has taken Mrs Fisher s position as secretary to Mr Biggart In the now thriving metropolis of Spring Lake we find Solon Brown who is a very prosperous citrus grower and business man Betty Jo Weaver IS now one of the foremost ballroom dancers in show business Those lessons really paid off didn t they? Speaking of show business our own C is giving his first performance at the Met He has quite a future if everything the critics say is true Jane Lee Snow has become a world renowned interior decorator She has recently redecorated the White ET1 sings with the Met occasionally of General Elecfric Quite a step for such a young manl One of the 55 grads who can never be found is Priscilla Mueller Pris is traveling now and is doing illustrations for Charm and Mademoiselle N, 42 ' ,M im i -- ' .
