 In Memoriam Remember me when I am gone away. Gone far away into the silent land; When you can no more hold me by the hand, Nor I half turn to go, yet turning stay. Remember me when no more, day by day. You tell me of our future, that you planned: Only remember me; you understand It will be late to counsel then or prav. Yet if you should forget me for a while And afterwards remember, do not grieve; For if the darkness and corruption leave A vestige of thoughts that I once I had. Better by far you should forget and smile, Than that you should remember and be sad. Christina Rosetti Daren Johnson is as much a part of our cherished memories as our first days here at Hermon, our most wonderful thoughts of feeling and caring, laughing, weeping, friendship and love. He will be a part of us all for the rest of our lives. He will run with us in spring, swim and walk barefoot with us in summer, reflect our mortality and immortality in fall and await rebirth with us in winter. We, the graduating class of 1984, are proud to say we are Daren’s friends and believe we are very lucky to be able to hold his memory. (1983) Akronite, J. Belling)
