Dale Douglass and Wesley Hallo- well are the Junior Class representatives in the Student Council. The Junior Class is well represented in the extra-curricular activities. Kenneth Cousins, Richard Dansereau, Phillip Booker, and Wesley Hallowell played on the Varsity Basketball team; Stanley Garland played on Junior Varsity. On the Varsity Cheering Squad were Norine Hillier, Paulette Sawyer, and Anita With- erly. Dale Douglass and Stanley Garland are in the band. Gail Partridge and Penelope Rich are members of the newly formed Future Teachers’ Club. Richard Dansereau, Kenneth Cousins, and Wesley Hallowell were on the track team. Paulette Saw- yer and Lenore Taylor became members of the National Honor Society. Lenore Taylor, Paulette Sawyer, Dale Douglass, Kenneth Cousins, Robert Haskell are on the HAWK Staff. Paulette Sawyer. Dale Douglass, and Penelope Rich are on the Year Book Staff. The Junior Class added to its treasury by sponsoring a record hop, by selling Drake’s products and school pens. The main interests for us this year were the Junior Prom and Junior Exhibition. Those chosen as finalists for Junior Exhibition were Richard Danse- reau, Dale Douglass, Wesley Hallowell, Robert Haskell, Norine Hillier, Richard Walls, Pene- lope Rich, Gail Partridge, Lenore Taylor, Stan- ley Garland, and Ronald Russell. Playing for the Varsity boys were Booker. On the J. V. Squad were David Keith, Walter Edgecomb, Barry Richardson, Wayne Hansen, and Walter Munn. Beverly Jordan, Sharon Clark, Nancy Dansereau, Judy Homsted, and Judy Graves played on the Girls’ Varsity Basketball Squad. Those who ran track were Gary Goss, Walter Edgecomb, and Richard Booker. Those boys who played spring baseball were Jimmy Reynolds, Richard Booker, David Keith, Walter Edgecomb, and Walter Munn. Gail Brawn was on the J. V. Cheering Squad and Sharon Clark cheered for the Varsity Cheer- ing Squad. Our class was proud to have two of its members take part in the One Act Play, “Take A Letter,”—Judy Graves and Sharon Clark. Gail Brawn was elected to represent our class at the Snow Carnival. 18
