JUNIOR CLASS REPORT The Junior Class of 1959-60 started the year off by electing the fol- lowing officers: J. Jewett, President; H. Stevens, Vice President; M. Mosher, Secretary; and C. Overlock, Treasurer. R. Pike and P. Withee were elected to the Student Council. C. Kleinhelter, M. Duplisea, and M. Mosher served on the yearbook staff. S. Light and M. Mosher were elected to the National Honor Society. Chosen for Junior Exhibition were S. Light, J. Jewett, H. Stevens, K. Hansen, J. Henry, D. Walls, R. Pike, and M. Mosher. For money-making projects, we chose Italian sandwiches and special activities. The Junior Class particiDated generously in sports. Chosen for Varsity basketball were R. Pike, M. Duplisea, H. Stevens, and C. Overlock. For Jayvee basketball V. Buzzell, R. Flewelling, D. Wilcox and H. Stevens. Also many of the boys played on the baseball team. M. Voudoukis. S. Light, K. Hanson and J. Jewett made the girls' basketball team. Four cheerleaders were picked from the Junior Class: K. Hanson, captam; M. Mosher, S. Light, and J. Jewett. K. Kinney and D. Walls participated in the one-act play. Also along with the Senior class we had a Junior-Senior Prom, which was quite successful. 24

Page; Vice President, A. Nowell; Secretary, J. Andrews; and Treasurer, S. Reardon. S. Bartlett and K. Hartley were chosen as representatives to the Student Council. Mr. Lord was our class advisor. We sold Drake’s products and potato chips every Friday in order to earn money for the class. We also held a record hop with disc jockey Jim Winters. R. Stevens took part in the one-act play, “The Clod.” B. Duplisea, R. Tozier, and R. Bragg played on the Baseball team. M. Sue Allen, M. Cutler, and R. Stevens took part in Varsity Cheerleading. J. Andrews, C. Cousins, A. Nowell, S. Bartlett, I. Freenran, S. Reardon, and M. Ann Jordan played on the Girls’ Varsity Basketball team. B. New- comb played Boys’ Varsity Basketball. B. Duplisea, R. Tozier, C. Tozier, J. Page, D. Grant, K. Hartley, A. Pinkham, and R. Bragg took part in Jayvee Basketball. 25
