This year the students here at H.D. chose to dedicate the Demon to you, Mrs. Wilson. This dedication is our way to say thank you for all the time and talent that you put into your teaching as well as in the direction of both the Newspaper Staff and Drama Club. Whether it's learning correct grammar, understanding Shakespeare or memorizing lines for a play, you are always there to guide us along the way. 2 Howard Arquitt Now that you are gone a lot of things have changed But we still think of all the good times whenever we hear your name. You were always there whenever we needed a friend. You always stuck by us until the very end. At least once a day Thoughts of you cross our minds And we begin to wonder Why we wasted precious time. Without our memory of you ive don't know what we'd do. You will never know how much we will always think of you. We will never forget you because you were one great friend Who knows maybe someday we will see you once again. 3 dSoard of Education Row 1 G. Livingston, L. Denesha, . Woodrow. Row 2 β C. Fentong, M. This year's Senior Class proposed and helped create a Senior Lounge. j4s a class and as individual students the Class of 1985 has created an im- pressive record of academic and athletic success. This record will remain to encourage other classes and students. Speaking for all your teachers we wish you all good luck in meeting the challenges that your future will hold. We believe that you have the train- ing, the responsibility, and the ambition to meet these choices with the style and flair that you have always demonstrated. Remember this your lifetime through Tomorrow, there'll be more to do... And failure waits for all to stay With some success made yesterday Tomorrow you must try once more And even harder than before. I shall pass thru this world but once, If therefore, there can be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do, Let me do it now.. .let me not defer or Neglect it... for I shall not pass this way again. 49 Cjirls Varsity S( occer Front β B. Jordan. Row 2 β T Livingston, D. Amo, M. Morrill, T. Bacon, V. Cook, Coach Miller. Discipline and hard work strengthened the Varsity girls. Maturity was the real secret to the success achieved in 1985, though. These ladies made it all seem easy, j Row 1 β B. . Thayer, L. Mehaffy, . Kent- field, S. Schofell, . Colter, B. jordan, N. Bardeschewski. Row 2 β Coach Nee, T. Woodrow, K. Dubrule, L. Livingston, S. Shorette, D. Noble, T. Thurber. As experience is gained, execu- tion is improved. The progress achieved by the J.V. in '85 was very encouraging, and with the talent returning, next season should be as rewarding as this season was. 54 Vardity (f3ablzetl)all Ron 1 β R. Wentzel, Mgr., T. Doirort, 1C. Davis, D. Wentzel, M. Hayes, B. Foster. Row 2 β Coach Amo, A. Reid, 0. Amaral, P. Blair, G. Smith, R. Wentzel. Young teams fared well this year at H-D, and boy's varsity basketball was no exception. The} had a good season, and hopefully their success will continue. Row l G. Morrill, Mgr., . Pharo, M. Peters, P. Collins, M. Tiernan. Row 2 β Coach Dusharm, J. Bacon, S. Newcombe, M. Hamilton, S. Wentzel, F. Morrill. Two things usually occur during the season of a young team; experience is gained and poise is discovered. Nothing could describe the 1984-85 season better. 55 Row 1 P. Burke. S. Risley, M Pcunock L. Grattdy III. . Walrath. Row 2 β Coacj, Lewis, E. Tracy, K. Lewis, B. Barney, f Iones, B. Alguire. Precision and concentration are vital ingredients in successful shooting, and this year the dedica- tion of the marksmen at H-D t0 their sport was inspirational. Com- petition against larger schools never discouraged them, and their year was most rewarding. 56 57 arS r P. Blair Row 1 β F. Hewlett, D. Brown, W. Allen, C. Cleveland. Row 2 β . Sander- son, M.
