Mr. Richard Nelson Mrs. Annemarie FitzRandolph Welcome Many of us have been on the receiving end of the smiles given by the new faces here at H-D. We’ve seen Mr. Richard Nelson, our new Superintendent around quite frequently as well as Mrs. Annemarie FitzRandolph, our new Director of Guidance and Mrs. Claire Ellison, our new Dietician. Our foreign exchange student this year is Monica Zamudio and she is from Tijuana, Mexico. She is living with the Bardeschewski family. We want to welcome all of you here to H-D and we hope to have the chance to return many of the smiles that you’ve given us. Mrs. Claire Ellison Monica Zamudio

There are many reasons why we, the students here at Hermon-DeKalb, chose to dedicate the 1984 Demon to you, Mr. Nee. These reasons revolve around the fact that you care about us. It shows in the way you go about teaching and also coaching. It takes a very special person to be able to reprimand a student for not doing their homework, or an athlete for not trying their hardest. It is ob- vious that you do this for our benefit. We feel that through your smile, your sense of humor, and even your indignation when you get upset, you let us know that we matter. We deeply appreciate and thank you for all that you do for us. It is with our sincere thanks that we dedicate this book to you. 2

Mr. Carvel. Mrs. Fenlong, Mrs. Dusharm, Mr. Thornton, Mrs. Young, Mr. Woodrow, Mrs. Morrill. Missing: Mr. Denesha, Mr. Livingston. Mr. Richard Nelson Mr. Russell Forbes On behalf of the Hermon-DeKalb Board of Education and Mr. Forbes, I offer congratulations. As graduating Seniors you have worked hard to prepare yourself for the future. We hope that as you leave for jobs, or the Armed Forces, or college that your efforts and planning help you realize your dreams and ambitions. As a newcomer to Hermon-DeKalb I have only just come to know most of you. I have been consistently im- pressed with your friendliness, common sense, and responsibility. The Class of 1984 leaves a fine record of achievement, as individuals and as a class, that will set a high standard for succeeding classes. Regardless of where your plans will take you, we hope that you will return to Hermon-DeKalb and share with us where you have been and what you have been doing. You will take with you not only your diploma, but also our best wishes for every continued success. jsiiL Richard J. Nelson Superintendent
