Wrestling Varsity Wrestling: 1st Row: J. Duck, H. Snyder, D. Brown, D. Stiles, A. Brown, M. Brown. 2nd Row: B. Law, J. Sanderson, P. Law, B. Shatraw, M. McRobbie, C. Tracy, M. Baker, C. Flight. The wrestling squad had another successful season this year. Each of the three teams performed well and had many individual champions. Noteworthy team accomplishments were: winning of the Divisional J.V. title for the third straight year: winning of the Division B Championships for the second straight year; and a second place finish at the Essex Classic. Bryant, T. Thornton, H. Aldous, Coach — Miss Mattraw. This year’s team enjoyed another undefeated season, with a 10-0 record. The key to this year’s success was teamwork, dedication and togetherness. JV VOLLEYBALL 1st Row: Stats: L. Carpenter, T, Newcombe, Co- Captain J. Fenlong, Co-Captain J. Coller, B. Willard, S. Jordan, J. Parshley, Stats — D. Fifield. 2nd Row: Coach Mr. Ostrander, C. Bryant, A. Winters, K. Lewis, B. Aldous, T. Thornton, D. Amo. Absent: T. Bacon. This year’s team had eight experienced players and one new freshman compete throughout the season for the six starting positions. This competition kept the girls working hard at practice and enabled them to improve enough over the season to become co- champions of Division II West with a 6-2 win-loss record. The team was 9-2 overall. Important match wins during the year came against Watertown High School and Morristown, in the last game, which enabled the Demons to tie for the cham- pionship. Jill Coller was the most consistent server making good serves 88.3% of the time. 20

Barr. 2nd Row: B. Aldous, K. Allen, T. Bacon, M. Morrill, S. Jordan. This years J.V. team had a superb season. They were victorious against teams that were more experienced and physically bigger. The success of this team was due to hard work during practices and tenacious defense. In coming years, these girls should form the nucleus of a good varsity ball club. 22
