► w Mr. Watson - Administrative Intern Students: The theme for this yearbook, 'The Way We Were' , was well chosen. You can already look back on the past years with rememberances that bring a smile to your face while there are other events in your life you probably would like to for- get. You have already changed drastically in physical appearance , in intellect, and in emotional stability. These attributes will constantly change. You will be different person tomorrow, even though the difference is slight. The 'Way You Were' in 1979 while at H.D.C.S. should be explored. Some of you have already been 'slaves' while others have been the money people who owned slaves. Luckily, being a slave only lasts one day each year and the owners aren't al- lowed whips. Some of you have worked hard and done your best while some of your have been 'floating' through school. My guess is that the majority of you have really not performed and studied as much as you should. Many of you had to be 'pushed' by your teachers in order to obtain results. Most of you have learned and accepted the fact that there will always be a 'boss' or 'director' or 'supervisor' . Unfortunately there are still a few who resent and do not accept reasonable authority. Unless they are willing to change their attitude, their lives will be in constant turmoil and they will live unhappy lives. The sad part is that they cause many of their own problems. Society will always have rules to be followed and punishment for non-compliance. Congratulations to the yearbook staff and to Mrs. Peters for this excellent book. Best Wishes to all, f Mr. Sandwick - District Principal ! John F. Sandwick District Principal 11
