 With thirteen years of education almost completed, Seniors will shortly embark on a new phase in their lives. Responsibilities will multiply and judgments to be made will affect your lives to a much greater extent than in the past. I hope that we have assisted each of you in the development of two im- portant attributes. The first is to seek all facts before making a decision. Keep an open mind and don’t be afraid to change your viewpoint when evidence warrants. The second, and equally important is to consider other people when your activities and decisions affect them. If, and when, you consider other people, other people will consider you. To the students of Hermon-DeKalb Central School, may I urge you to seek high goals in ine aid to do your very best in everything you do. It is no disgrace to fail, provided you have worthy ambi- tions and have put forth an honest effort to rise above that failure.
