JUNIOR iNOTES HSRKON: At our first meeting in October, 1953. we welcomed Mr Lewis as our class adviser and elected the following officers: president, Schuyler Bush: Vice President, Cedric Kirkpatrick; Secretary, Shirley Hathburn; Treasurer, Sandra Bacon: and Historian, David Holla ad Oui’ many activities during the year consisted of a Halloween party, spaghetti' suppers, food sales, and a junior play'd DeOXB: September 1953e 'well, here we are as Juniors with twlve members, Mrs, Bigelow is our homeroom teacher and class advisor. This year we have made a big effort toward raising money for our senior trip.. At present we are selling candy. Other activities that we have had, are: a food sale, card selling, a vie dance, and two orchestra dances, and a paper drive, we were very thankful for the cooperation from the teachers, student body, and the townspeople,. This year we ordered our Senior rings. They have arrived and we are pleased with them. Also at the beginning of the year we elected our class officers with Hermon, we chose Elma wilson as joint secretary, we wish to say that we hope this yearbook is a great success and that it will continue throughout the years, SOPHOMORE NOTES DeKALb: ..e held our first meeting on October 9, 1953» with Mrs, KentfieloJ acting as our advisor. Class officers from the DeKa'lb branch; Howard Claflin, President and Helen Watson, Secretary, This year there are sixteen members in our class. Our class has two band members., five chorus members, five S.A.C members and two members on the newspaper staffs Our class had the honor of having a member win second place trophy for selling magazine we have had a very successful year, we have had a Vic Dance, two card parties, and a food sale , an orchestra dance, and a seed-selling program, H TPMON: In Seotember, 1953 we started out with a class member - ship of fifteen. This has been a very profitable year for us and we have added a great amount of money to our treasury. Mvg Hamilton, has been our class advisor and the class officers from Herman are Vice President, Patsy Harrington snd ireasurer,Donald Penlong.
