CLASS OP 1994 - CLASS HISTORY (HERMON) It was on a bright morning in September, 1990 that 20 of us entered into the front seats of the big study hall. During our Freshman year we elected William Vining as our Class President, Shirley Hance as Secretary-Treasurer. Our outstanding activities under Mrs. Bawtinhimer, our class ad- visor, were a fudge sale and a successful dance. September 19.91 - This year we started as Sdphomores in the newly centralized school of Hermon-DeKalb. By this time we were familiar with the rooms on the third floor, and espe- cially Mr. Chase’s room where , e spent a lot of time with his- tory review. This year we chose Mr. Hamilton as our advisor, and at our first joint meeting, we elected James Sayer, Pres- ident j-;William Vining, Vice-President; and Joanne Kentfield, Secretary. We held a most profitable joint vie dance at DeKalb, and several food sales. September 1992 - As Juniors our class was separated in- to several rooms This year we had to study hard because we had regents in nearly every subject. We worked hard at our studies, and harder at making money, William Vining was el- ected President, James Sayer, Vice-President,,Joanne Kentfield as Secretary, and Barbara Sanborn as Treasurer. During this year Mr. Chase acted as our class advisor and we held many successful events. Receiving our class rings and our Junior Prom were the highlights of the year. In June we moved up another step on our ladder of success. September 199.3 - We climbed the stairs again for our last year. The first big riot of the year was our Senior Play, Mama’s Baby Boy. Who will ever forget Grandma in the short skirt, and Minnie, the excitable maid? We found ourselves rather short on the financial side, and we start- ed out to raise funds. Under the leadership of Miss Bajjaly, our advisor, we held a series of food sales, dances and card sales. However, we spent a lot of time enjoying our- selves as a class, and keeping on the good side of the teachers. The year was climaxed by our fun-packed, exciting trip to Washington and New York. Our adventured in the big city will live forever in our memories. Soon it will be time for us to leave Hermon-DeKalb as a class, and we hope our soirit will live long after we have gone. Thus, with much sorrow we close the pages of our annals, the Senior History of 1994«
