We hope that construction is well under way by the time this annual is to be ready for the students. Faculty, students, and parents have been very patient with the extreme conditions under which school has been held at Hermiston High. Their patience will be well rewarded when they can view and occupy this new building in reality, and carry on classes in a situation approaching normal. ARMAND O. LARIVE PRlNClPAL'S 'MESSAGE The class of 1952 is to be congratulated for the contribution it has made to Hermiston High School during the past four years. Members of this class have participated in a great number of school activities. By their support and participa- tion, they have enriched the high school activity program in such fields as Drama, Music, Journalism, Athletics, Student Government, ect. It is hoped that the classes will follow the example set by the class of 1952, by supporting all school activities with their time and effort. , Here is a hearty and sincere wish for success and happiness for each and every member of this year's graduating class, and a hope for bigger and better things ahead for Hermiston Hi through the efforts of all underclassmen. Mrs. Orpha CWeisbeckj Fessler and Mr. Jess Thomas AS l'LL REMEMBER THEM VINCENT ALLEMAN-What does that name mean to you, tall, dark, and popular, and owner of a con- tagious smile? Vint has been active in sports, and his Senior year he was President of the Lettermen's Club. His future plans are not definite, but we get ideas. IRENE ANDERSON-Irene can be remembered for her part as the mother in the Senior play. She is rather bashful, but a swell friend after she gets acquainted. Following graduation Irene plans to go to Portland with Betty to try her luck at nursing. VIDA ANDERSON-This gal will always be remem- bered for her flaxen blond hair and that very often envied athletic ability of hers. She was always a swell friend to everyone, and one of the first to volunteer when there was work to be done. Good luck Vida. DICK BARHAM-Watch out for this guy. Dick drives that pick-up like it were a toy scooter. You can re- member him in social problems always reading western stories. Dick does work sometimes though at the Columbia Furniture Company. JIM BARNARD-Jim pulled a fast one ani. at married halfway through his Senior year. He w s that tall, blonde, basketball player everyone liked to watch. He works swing shift at McNary Dam, and after high school he wants to go to college and support Janis. Carl can be recognized by the dragging walk and his ability for being late to class. We will also re- member him for that haircut which took a genius to comb as well as to cut. JOAN WALKER- Jo will be remembered for her trips to Oklahoma-funny thing was she always took them about the time school started. Her ambition is to be a nurse and we wish her loads of luck. Elvon plans to work at Ordnance or the dam until Uncle Sam calls. JIM WILSON-Jim was always thought of as one of the quietest boys in the Senior class. Even though he. was quiet, he could be described as one of the best workers and easiest luck to a swell fellow. If she doesn't go to college, Beverly guesses she will go to Alaska. JULIAN WOODWARD-What class would be complete without a comedian? Julian will always be remem- bered for his unlimited supply of humor which kept everybody laughing! We won't forget that bright red hair of his either!
