MI Seniors, think back a minute- back to when we were Freshmen. Remember how much fun we had during that car wash? If the fun was measured by the people who went home saturated, it weighs in as a riot. Then came the ice cream sales. Our class must have sold more ice cream than Mr. Frosty ever saw! Now that we are seniors, the raffle was a big hit. Oh, and not to be forgotten are those classy beer mugs that came in handy class night. The time we have spent together will never dissolve, because as we have often realiz- ed, we can't turn the clock back. So, for now the fights, fueds, and sorrows must be cast away as we leave. We trust, We believe, Larry Allen went home. 50 Seniors' Dream As we think of all the years that passed How the first went slow and the last so fast We sense to feel the end is near The thought will sometimes bring a tear To leave the school that we are in And the love we feel so deep within The sports we played and rooted for Just will not be the same anymore 'Cause to watch them play wonit be the same But they will never bring us any shame The band, the chorus, and drama too Will break our hearts to bid them adieu For we can see them play again But it's not the same school as we did attend For time will pass as we all know And as it does our memories glow For those who reach their senior year Will find that they may shed a tear So donit be shamed if you do cry 'Cause there's more to come, but the best will have gone by. Herkimer, defending Central Valley Conference champions, started out its season with a big victory over Oneida, largely on the outstanding offensive performance of quarterback, jim Collis. This was also our costliest victory due to the injury of Collis which put him out for the next two games. The Ilion game Was the most exciting game of the season. Jim jackson called an au- dible at the line to Dave Menapace, who scored on the first play, the only touchdown of the game. As the season closed, Herkimer posted a 5-3 game record. With great pride, we can look back on the 77 season and be very proud, not only of our Winning record, but of our losses and realize our team never quit trying and never gave up under any cir- cumstances. Fran Palc- Zynski remained undefeated in Conference play and placed 2nd in the Class B Mat Championship. Fran had a 22-2 overall record.
