Mr. Elmer E. Morgan Mr. Morgan while directing the Physical Education in Herkimer schools for a number of years. coached many championship Magi' cian football teams. Mrs. Ermantrude M. Watson As a member of the Commercial Department, Mrs. Watson advised a Commercial Cluh for many years. Today, in addition to teaching, she is Central Treasurer for all H.C.H.S. organizations. In Appreciation of Retiring Teachers Mrs. Christine A. Bartlett Miss Ada R. Mills Miss Anna E. Matis Teacher of Citizenship Education ll and ll, Mrs. Bartlett is also active as sponsor of both the Future Teachers of America and the junior Class. Wlieriever art work is needed in the school, Miss Mills has provided the assistance by working with the Art Club. Also, Miss Mills has coached girls' bowling and super' vised Senior Finance Committee. Miss Matis, a teacher of business subjects. has been director of the work-study program at H.C.H.S. since it was organized. She served as business adviser for student pub- lications for three years. ,vt W

MISS ETHEL COOK Dedication With respect and admiration, 'Ye Green Stajf dedicates the 1959 Annual to Miss Ethel Cook. Not only has her influence been felt in the classroom, but it has had an everlasting effect on those w h oh a v e worked closely with her on student publications, and in various Senior Class activities. As adviser to the school newspaper, the yearbook, and the Senior Class, Miss Cook has willingly devoted much of her time in counseling and guiding the many students who have sought her help.
