More and more, therefore, we cherish our guarantee of personal rights and responsibilities. We realize our good fortune to be able to complete our high school life with its work and activities, and to pursue our plans and our hopes for the future. Through our experience in H.H.S. We know that we have ex' periencecl freedom and that it can be the possession of all youth. 4 J . . .K 'BZ With humble hearts, we, the members of the 1952 yearbook staff, dedicate Ye Green Quill to the unfortunate youth who have not enjoyed the advantages of freedom. It is our hope that they will someday realize that freedom is more than a vacant stare. We trust that they may eventually experience the liberal education we have had in our schools. It is our desire to see them achieve the benefits of a free education, and learn to direct their own lives in a free and peaceful world. 6 ,f- i fl- ,li f 'CI7 5' W F.. ,ef 21? w4 A' 1 'W fix -1, iil-5 Zlrfuih 5 ?reedzfm Saw!! Club 3. , CUP l Four Years of Training for Life in a Free World The Class of '52 began their enlistment period as very timid recruits who were facing their four years with some anxiety . . . Soon indoctrinated, they began to learn the vernacular and became interested in the many phases of H.H.S. training . . . Sophomore year found them ready and able to carry out the assignments set for them . . . They distinguished themselves on the stage, in sports, and in music, as well as in classroom activities . . . Halfway through their enlistment, the Class of '52 set out on the endurance hike of Junior Year with flags flying high . . . They received their insignia of service with the longfawaited arrival of Class Rings . . . In '52, the Class further distinguished themselves by the enthusiasm with which they planned and carried out such projects as the Hollywood Premier, in which many seniors took part . . . lack Manion guided the Student Council, and George Surace took over the Class Presidency, which Bart Fazio had handled for the first three years . . . Now at the end of their enlistment, the Seniors are to be honorably discharged, and will return to civilian life with the knowledge of a job well done and a good record behind them. 35 JUNICDR CLASS Hatlq Yiwu' A. With their colleagues in Oneida, Herkimer and Madison Counties they have established Americas first multiple county medical program in order to serve you and yours better and more fully. 2. Throughout three great counties they guarantee the delivery of medical care when needed, regardless of time, place or the ability of the patient to pay. 3. They have set up an emergency system so that when you cannot reach your own doctor, and in an emergency, a call to Herkimer Memorial Hospital will bring medical care. 4. They have established a Mediation Committee to hear any cases of complaint and to assist you in any medical matters. 5. They have taken a stand on matters that affect your health and the health of those in this area. 5. At hospital staff meetings they spend hours in pooling their knowl- edge for the benefit of the patients in sick beds. 7.
