Each month at Heritage, interested students could be found rushing to resource centers to obtain a copy of Heritage's newspaper, the Pioneer. The staff responsible for the production of the Pioneer consisted of fifteen stu- dents, who worked four class hours per week plus numerous free hours to research and write their stories. Five members of the staff went to Greeley for a newspaper workshop last summer, bringing back many new ideas for the Pioneer. One could find more artwork, an improved and expanded in-depth approach, and more columns as some of the main improvements. E t Aa al Margaret Emerich, sr., proofreads her freshly typed editorial, getting it ready for the Pioneer. bl Soph. Laurie Hershey looks on as Soph.
