This time of spiritual emphasis and devotion to the Christian life was really an inspirational event to the atmosphere of Heritage High. It was a thrill to listen to these men of God tell of their experience on the mission fields in the service of the Lord. ...Wan-.. . His life is a constant source of blessing and encouragement to those who know him. Certainly the life of this great man of God, completely surrendered to His Will, is a challenge to all who have witnessed his ministry. Educational Co-Ordinator That powerful, generating force behind nearly every activity and project at our schools is Mr. Paul Liefeld. Whether planning fund-raising, developing pictures, speaking in chapel, or cheering at a game, he consistently exemplifies a love for our schools and a total dedication to this all-important job to which God has called him. Don Wescott- Heritage High Principal Mr. Wescott in his first year has established himself as a principal who really cares about the students at Heritage High. The students really appreciate his genuine concern for their spiritual life. Administration With his excellent efforts and willing- ness to help the students of Heritage, Mr. Temple is there. He encourages, guides, and understands each student. Wayne Temple- Dean of Students Frank Martens- Elementary Principal A devoted Christian administrator is our elementary principal, Mr. Martens. He has a rare talent for getting along with the elementary students and under- standing them and their problems. a 5 Q 2 - - K Q 5 l Elmer C. Drews, M.D., Secretary Board of Education Standing: J.F. Spirit Week ti Getting ready for the line-up Look away Almost to the finish line Tricycle races, pie eating contests, and silent girls are some of the unusual things you may see during this week of nothing but spirit. This tradition is carried out each year by the gradu- ation class. Spirit Week was held the week before the league championship game to gather up their spirit for the big event. Through the course of events during the week, a King and Queen Ugly are chosen to reign over the festivities, a hush day creeps in when the boys enjoy a day of silence while girls rest their voices, and many other spirit-filled activities. To round up the week, a Sadie Hawkins party was given as a celebration over the great victory. At this occasion, the boys headed for the hills while the girls chased them seeking a partner. 1 , look away... Off to the races? Everyone gazes at our hillbillies.
