Pep Club busses were taken to most of the out-of-town games. The Pep Club was in charge of the Basketball Homecoming ceremony. It also held the Conces- sion stand for that game. For its social event and money-making project the club held an all-school sock hop and cake walk. The Pep Club had a very successful year with the help of Mrs. Danielson as sponsor. CHEERLEADERS: Judy Rule, Mary Lynn Knight, Janie Danielson, Wilfred Mastin, Celia Welch, Rosie Pierce Emma Lou Locke. The Herington F. F. A. Chapter started the year with a tri to the To eka State Fair. The officers attended til-re District llseadership Training School at Emporia winning high awards. LETTERlVIEN'S CL B BOTTOM ROW: Byron Clore, Glenn Dale, L. li. Garver, Kenny Balderson, Ronnie lloleman, Milton Wade, Leroy Douglas- TOP ROW: james Bowers, james Bell, William Meyer, Carl Gravatt, joe McCoy, Larry Meuli, Bob Lueker jerry Weatherman, Harold Chalker, Dallas Wendlandt, Don Gerdes, Dick Murray, james Barrett, Max johnson. The LettermCr1'S Club had a very successful year under joint sponsorship of the coaches, Vern Vdeakley and Max Stratton. To reimburse their depleted funds the Letter- men sponsored the B Team Football games and a basketball concession stand. With this money the Lettermen bought a large orange and maroon banner which they presented to the Pep Club at an assembly on january 29th. A second project of the year was to set up a constitution. The Lettermen also purchased maroon and white letter iackets of which every- one is very proud.
