It has as its principles the creation of student participation in school government, the establishment of better faculty-stu- dent relationship, the encouragement of good citizenship, the sharing of guidance in school activities, and the promo- tion of the general welfare of the student body. The officers for this year were: Larry Meuli, Presidentg james Bell, Secretaryg and Milton Wade, Treasurer. One of the new Student Council projects this year was the selling of student activity tickets. It has worked very successfully and improved our attendance at school ac- tivities. Other projects were the election of cheerleaders, the election of the Student Council President, the setting up of election schedules for the classes and organizations, and homecoming activities, including a program in the afternoon, a homecoming parade through town, and a dance after the football game. The council members have been kept busy by their many projects. The projects have developed the members so that they will be better able to tal-ce the responsibilities of leadership in the world of tomorrow.
