CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1950 there entered mto Henngton l-hgh School, 63 bashful awkward Freshxes who were destlned to make a name for themselves and Henngton Hlgh School Takxng all the razzmg of the upperclassmen xn our stnde we began our existence wrth Mr Foreman and Mr Penner as our Freshman sponsors We elected Rosle Pxerce Presx dent Don Gerdes Vnce Presldent Don Brehler Secretary and Barbara Wendt Treasurer ,lame Danielson and L E Garver were Student Council Representatlves We suffered severe punxshment up and untrl we were xmtrated There after, we were establxshed fnends of the O Mlghty 52111019 The Freshman Attendant to the football queen was Mary Lynn Km ht K There were 16 Freshmen rn band and 34 xn vocal musxc Ftfteen Freshmen boys were out for football five for basket- ball, and three for baseball We d1dn t have any semester partres due to the fact that we wanted to save our money for the Prom The next fall we entered school as Sophomores with Mrs Wolfe and Mr Prckenng as our class sponsors The class offncers were elected as follows Jerry Weatherman Pres1 dent Don Gerdes Vice Presrdent ,lame Damelson Secretary and Jerry Kirkland Treasurer L E Carver was elected. Class Hxstorxan for the remauung years Manlyn Bzttner and Larry Meuhwere Student Councxl Representatrves Our fxrst Semester Party was a Hamburger Fry at the farrgrounds Our class was very active rn sports that year wxth 12 boys out for football 9 out for basketball and 4 each were out for baseball and track The Sophomore football attendant was Jane Danlel on Our Class also made up a big share of the muslc depart ment with 33 ID vocal musxc and 15 ln band.
