BOARD OF TRUSTEES A typical rectangular table session of the Board of Trustees seems to be in progress with Bert Boomer, President, presiding. The members are elected for overlapping terms of three years by the qualified voters of the Hereford Rural High School District. This Board is the real head of the school system and the officials and teachers of each school must be approved by it. The members of the Board also prepare a budget for each school year, work out problems arising during the year, and set up poli- cies for the school program. CAIN Fred Baird is the financial secretary of the Board of Trustees and is charged with the job of assessing and collecting the taxes.
