S With the advent of the cosmopolitan age, we find country life disappearing into bustling cities. At Hereford, an evolution of traditions follows the lead of the community. We have lived and loved these traditionsg we have initiated new ones, we have dispelled those which were useless and frayed at the seams. All together we have captured the essence of beneficial progress yet never lost the tinges of humanity and reminiscence. Parallel to our changes in ideas, the Pioneer depicts an evolution, a cognizance of growth from bewildered seventh graders to more enlightened seniors. We find at graduation, young adults who are educationally more informed, emotion- ally more secure, and socially more adept. We visualize the spirit, the fun, the growing pains, and the laughter set against a background of serious educational pursuit. As we approach the close of this yearbook, we find, not a termination, but a grand beginning for those who have reached the doorway to maturity.
