That was the summary in the '75 Blackcat Yearbook. And what a trip it was! The team placed third in the State Cross Country Meet on the Au- gustin Golf Course in Columbia. In a field of 24-O runners, the Blackcats were led by 12th place Bud McMil1in, 17th place Brian Stotler, 31st Roger Gray, 33rd Derrick Miller, 76th Tom Doyle, with pusher Bill Guidicy close behind. After the individual placers were pulled, the Blackcats totaled 105 points--low enough for the third place trophy. The Varsity season was also highlighted with a 1st place finish in the District meet and Cape Invitational. They placed 2nd in the St. Charles Invitational and 3rd in the Hancock Invitational. The Blackcats also ran their home meet winning streak to 3 years on their new two and one half mile course at the Joachim Golf Course. The Freshman and Sophomore classes also enjoyed success- ful seasons, The Freshman almost made it a perfect season winning the Northwest Invitational, Prep North Invitational, and third in the Lindberg Invitational. The junior Varsity also had their share of victory, winning the St. Louis District Invitational and setting a record low 24 points in winning the Cape Invitational. With only Senior Derrick Miller graduating, the Cross Coun- try team looks ahead to continuing their winning tradition. Derrick Miller The Lone Senior District
