,ff This year the study hall has been converted into o reading room . All magazines, dictionaries, encyclope- dias, and general reference books have been placed there so that the students may find them more easily and by their own efforts. The special references, biographies, and fiction books are in the library book room where studentlibrar- ians are on duty to assist other students in the selection and checking out of books wanted. Miss Crawford is chief librarian and supervisor of the reading room. She is qualified under the new Missouri State Law to act as a full time librarian. We are proud of our attractive library and reading room, which offers an ideal atmosphere for work. Mr. Frickes's sixth hour physics class consists of eighteen senior boys. Partof each week is spent on ex- periments in the laboratory. For boys considering future jobs in industry, the principles of physics are important. The first hour chemistry class, under the direction of Mr. Fricke, contains twenty students. Part of each week is spent in laboratory experiments, and each per- son is responsible for the care andcleaning of hisequip- ment. Early in the year some members of this class went to Monsanto Chemical Company on a tour. Al- though most of the students do not intend to go to college, theyfeel that any person today should have the knowledge of chemistry. 12 i nfvnmmfnis 1 0 9 3 Library ands Study Hall 1 S Science
