Dedicated Stage Band members met before school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through- out the year. Concerts such as Spartan Family Night and competi- tions such as the Northern California Stage Band Festival were the end result of all the practice. Kirk Whipple, a member of the Stage Band, was honored as the best junior high musician at the Festival. The Concert Band, made up of eighth and ninth graders and directed by Mr. Dan Kelley, played in the Christmas Concert, Spring Concert and marched in the Rose Parade. They also played for the students at the elementary schools and attended workshops by other bands. CTOP LEFTJ Mr. Dan Kelley directs the stage band as they play at the PTA Carnival. CTOP CENTERJ Cindy Maertins and Cathy Dunwoody toot their flutes during band. QTOP RIGHTJ Jayme Bollinger works on material for the Christmas Concert.
