Boys' Block S started off the year by selling popcorn at brunch. Leftover popcorn at Christmas was turned into popcorn balls. Money earned was used to finance a picnic at the end of the year for all athletes earning a block. This year the girl athletes formed their own Block S. This was com- posed of all gymnasts, softball players, and volleyball players. Spartanettes livened up the var- sity basketball games with their routines at half time. Made up of ninth grade girls, the drill team did their routines to popular songs. CTOP LEFTJ Penny Pearson, Lisa Fertitta, and Denise Arbios converse over subject of Block S meeting.
