Mime and More Approximately 100 to 150 suppor- ters came each night to watch the performance which was staged two nights in a row. All the money received was donated to Daymark. The benefit cleared 3500.00 plus for Daymark. Other groups from Charleston par- ticipated and performed in Juvenescence. The St. James Liturgical Dancers opened the show with a special dance. John Hackney followed with some original numbers on his guitar. The Daymark Dollies were not to be surpassed, though, as they did an interpretive ballet com- plete with tutus and frisbees. The production, directed by Maryellen Hannah and Kathy Kalinyak, was at least one month in preparation. The New Age Players noticeably practiced long and hard to present such a professional style per- formance. The show crossed back and forth l from mime skits to dynamic dance numbers. Scenes from the skits in- cluded regulars like The Hulk,', Jaws, Up and Downf' and The Marionettef' New additions were The Dew Drop Inn, and The Mountain Climbers. Everyone's favorite, The Robots, was back again with new variations. The dancers from The New Age Players were equally entertaining performing to Takin' It to the Streets, The Best of My Love, and Come Sail Away. To conclude Juvenescence, the Elk River Band came on stage to per- form some well-known numbers from their repertoire. The New Age Players should be complimented for the long hours spent in preparing for this worthwhile benefit. Afterall, it was 'a really big shew'! 87
