Midway into the year Mr. Jim Higginbotham, our Vice Principal, was promoted to Principal of Elkview Junior High. His replacement is Mr. Carlton Gandee. When asked if he had encoun- tered any problems with the students respecting his authority, since he was formerly a coach, he declared that he had no problems whatsoever because he had always been an assistant assis- tant . Mr. Lonnie J. Miller, our returning Principal, as well as Mr. Gandee, graduated from Glenville State College where he received his A.B. degree. Mr. Miller also received a M.S. degree from Syracuse University and a Masters in Ad- ministration from West Virginia University, another of Mr. Gandee's alma maters. This is Mr. Miller's third year as Principal at Hoover. 7
