We the Senior Class of 1966 dedicate this yearbook to Mr. A. Mason Mann. This is Mr. Mann's final year of education. He first began teaching thirty-nine years ago at Hinton High School. Throughout his career, he functioned in many different capacities. While at Amherstdale High School in Logan County, he served as aprincipal. Itwas in 1926 that he first came to Elkview High School, where he stayed for thirty-two years. He was away from Elkview two years, during which he was the principal atlQuick Junior High. During World War II, he served three years as an enlisted man in the signal corps, then returned to the high school. For about fourteen years he was the dean at Elkview High School. At present, he is the Vice-Principal at Hoover, and this is his third and final year in that capacity. As we endeavor to relate this long and successful career, we realize that this is aman who has influenced the lives of numerous young people, and made many contributions to our community. Although he is leaving, he will be re- membered in the years to come. 7
