FEBRUARY' CLASS CDF 1937 l-lEN Tl-lE FEBRUARY CLASS met during the spring term tor senior B otticers, they chose as president, Connie Fraser: as vice-president, Gordon Bennett: as secretary, Ed Carmichael: and as treasurer, Ralph Silverton. The most pressing business was, ot course, the selection ot rings and sweaters. When, as senior A's, they returned in the tall, Bob Breitbard was chosen as president: Sarah Taylor was vice-president: and Jack l-lighley was elected as secretary-treasurer. The committees and cabinet were duly chosen to care tor the myriad details necessary to a successtully con- ducted graduation. The semester was a busy one, not only tor the seniors, but tor the others in the student body. As usual, the most exciting teature ot the tall semester were the tootball games, made still more exciting, since this was l-loover's tirst season in the Coast League and there were many thrilling games at various coast schools. Soon atter the beginning ot the term, a get-acquainted party, under the guidance ot Mrs. Keyes and Cardinal Co-ed president, Nancy Mar- shall, was enjoyed by the new upper-class girls who were entertained by senior A girls. Cn October thirty-tirst l-loover-San Diego students danced at Mis- sion Beach atter the big game. On November sixteenth play ticlcets were distributed tor the Mary's Ankle production, successtully presented tor two nights, December third and tourth, to capacity crowds. December second arrived and the senior class song competition was held. On Jan- uary tweltth they had a grand time ditching in the snow at Pine Valley. Seniors and other student body members danced January twenty-second in the library at the A. S. B. ball, and the seniors again at their ball at the Casa de Manana on January twenty-eighth.
