I f HW ' I Super-Dreamer I am a cottony white cloud in an azure sky I am a violet flower on a bed of greenest grass I fly with the wind as a stallion on the beach I change shape and become my heart's desire I have many faces but one mind, many roads but one path, many ideas but one lone conclusion. My home is the ancient Mt. Olympus in Greece I live in a castle in England, a chateau in France There is peace and tranquility wherever I go The stones on my house talk to the trees, compelling them to grow The gates and moats are at stiff attention, to the fog that surrounds them Life here is grand! Einstein taught me scientific ways While Sophocles showed me the way of expression Euclid helped my mathematic mind to develop But Freud enables me to understand your thoughts I dance on notes of blissfulness, as Bach plays my sonnets Pierre Cardin comes out to play, as my jeans flare with regal grace, I sailed the high seas with Jean La Fitte I rode beside Paul Revere and his Minute Men, for a second I batted clean-up at the '78 World Series, but we won anyway. The world I live in fights no wars Russia and China call for tea, as Britain brings the crumpets, of course The Americans march with a flag so proud, respect becomes an international vow. No need for money where I go The greatest treasurs are found within one's self Hungry for love, peace, and honor, overcomes the old ache for power A perfect society nowhere else could you find But within the deepest bend of my mind. Lisa Mazzullo She is an infant, too afraid, too distraught to accept affection or beauty. She is a lost creature searching for reason to breathe. She is confused, lost in a maze of obscure knowledge. Acknowledging the Demon she keeps on running to nowhere. Maxine Lewis

To My Friend Though we were once close and couldn't be separated, we've accomplished just that and have done it for ourselves. fs IN- Am f fn pf fr'-N yy' riff! I, We played ball and sold lemonade. Now I see you only by chance when l'm walking the dog or going to visit my grandmother. You were the strong one when it came to fighting and fooling around, l was the quiet one who was envious of your strength. if fg',:Z': nt' I am not alone - but l miss your company. X Your way of brightening up a day. Life didn't force our parting, our own values did it for us i We play for the same softball team, but are among strangers and can't relate. You are a showman on and off the field. Something l will never be - but I am just as good. Your disco clothes make you louder But that doesn't make me want to wear them. You stay with smaller kids who look to you as a regal being The same as I unconsciously looked toward. When college begins, we might never Share the times again, But when l get married, you're still My best man - my best friend. Anthony DiGirolamo N Did you ever wonder where it all begins X ls it scientific phenomena X Or just mortal sin? , 7 Straighten your tie Behind you, please close the door.
